Vibrating Tables

Pacific Metal Fabrication’s complete line of vibrating tables are designed and built to meet the needs of your business. With help from our engineers, you’ll get the right table and vibrator for your needs, and the automatic systems are designed to work with your existing applications.

Using inflatable air mounts, rubber mounts or springs, vibration is isolated from the floor and table frame. Your choice of electric, pneumatic or hydraulic vibrator is supplied with the table. Each unit features adjustable speed and force and is built for heavy duty operations.

Vibrating tables are generally used as test tables or compaction tables. Test tables simulate handling and transportation vibrations and shocks, fatigue testing and electrical component integrity. Compaction tables help settle materials for packing and construction uses, such as removing trapped air bubbles from concrete or to improve the finish of plastics.

Suggested Applications

Test Tables

• Simulate handling and transportation shocks and vibration

• Test electrical component integrity

• Equipment shock and fatigue tests

Compaction Tables

• Settling packing materials

• Remove entrapped air via agitation

• Improve finish of plastics

• Used for foundry shakeouts

Compaction Guidelines

• To obtain maximum densification use a vibrator with a minimum force of at least twice the weight of the material and fixture to be vibrated

• To obtain maximum penetration of frequency, add 15% to 20% more force for every two feet of height.

• For best packing results, use two vibrators mounted so that one is running clockwise and the other counter clockwise at synchronous speeds, which eliminates the horizontal forces and creates a directed vertical force.

Grid Top Vibrating Tables

The vibrating table’s grid top fits between the conveyor rollers. When the load is rolled into position, air mounts inflate and lift the load off the rollers so it can be vibrated for compaction then deflated so the load can continue on the conveyor.
